Aclasta (Zolendronate) Infusions
Aclasta is a bone strengthening medication that is now funded for many people for the treatment of osteoporosis, Pagets disease and the prevention of fractures.
To discuss the need for further investigations (blood tests/bone density scans), vitamin D supplementation/treatment options and criteria for subsidy, please book an appointment with a doctor. (Normal consultation fees apply.)
If it is the right treatment for you and criteria is met for subsidy, the doctor will book you in for the procedure – the cost of the infusion is $180 for enrolled patients and $280 for non-enrolled patients.
The average duration of the procedure is 45 minutes. Please be well hydrated on the day of the infusion e.g. drink 2 large glasses of water before or during the procedure.
