Dr Mahat Vather

I was born in South Africa and migrated to New Zealand in 1994. I am a vocationally registered Specialist GP with thirty five years experience in General Practice (seven years in South Africa and twenty eight years in Auckland). I have previously been an examiner for the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. As a former Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Department of General Practice, University of Auckland, I have had several years experience in the training of 4th, 5th and 6th year medical students in General Practice. I am passionate about all aspects of medicine, especially proactive preventive care.
